Intern - Socio-Economic Research - The Mines Advisory Group (MAG)
- Support the conceptualization and design of two to three impact studies.
- Scoping and implementation of the conceptualized studies, including data collection, analysis and developing a final report.
- Contribute to the development of a demobilization strategy based on the data collected during the research.
- Access to relevant project documents necessary for the execution of the duties under this internship
- Transport to/from MAG offices to/from the project sites
- Accommodation near project sites when traveling on MAG duties
The Mines Advisory Group (MAG) is a British non-government organization registered as a Charity undertaking humanitarian mine action around the world. MAG is working to save lives and build futures in Sri Lanka by reducing the risk presented by remnants of conflict.MAG is seeking motivated and competent individuals to conduct impact studies in the areas MAG has w3orked in Sri Lanka Since 2009, MAG has released over 36km Square of land and extracted over 61,000 items. The interns should be capable of identifying impact studies in the areas MAG has worked in Construction with MAG Sri Lanka Senior Management, define the scope, collect qualitative and quantitative data, analysis the data and produce final reports/case studies accordingly. The result of these impact studies will form part of MAG's project/programme reporting and advocating portfolio.
