Senior Oracle Database Engineer – Designer - eBuilder

• Managing, Maintaining & Monitoring Development/Testing/Staging/Production Oracle databases.
• Support for Application production releases
• Performing data movement tasks
• Monitor Jobs and alerts and take corrective actions as required
• Work closely with development & support teams
• Incident support for database systems
• Install and test new version of the database management system
• Develop, Manage and test back-up and recovery plans
• Optimize DB queries and suggest alternative methods to enhance efficiency.
• Apply updates and upgrades to production/staging environments.
• Ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly
• Carry our capacity planning
• Manage the security and disaster recovery aspects of a database
• Perform health checkups of databases.
• Meet established IT Standards and services levels.
• Identify potential vulnerabilities and implement solutions.
• Hands on experience in Linux operating system and scripting.
• Virtualization experience in VMWARe
• Systems and database security.

Candidate should be willing to travel overseas on both short and long-term basis and should be able to work long hours when demand exists.
